On Thursday, the San Francisco Police Department held a town hall where it addressed details about how the attack on the consulate unfolded. Before officers arrived on the scene, consulate security guards used pepper spray on Yang, police said. Released evidence photos show the crossbow and arrows in the back seat of the crashed car, though a motive remains unclear. According to released 911 calls, witnesses said there were roughly 30 people in the lobby when a car crashed into the consulate building. Last week, the Consulate General of China in San Francisco said in a statement the crash caused “serious damage” and put people in a life-threatening situation.

CNN —It’s been quite the year for Jon Rahm – and he’s got the prize money to prove it. A runner-up finish at the Mexico Open on Sunday took the Spaniard’s PGA Tour season earnings to $14,462,840, setting a new Tour record for money earned in a single season. With $49,486,883 in total earnings since joining the PGA Tour in 2016, Rahm looks set to pass the $50 million mark imminently upon his return. The American had finished joint-second, one shot shy, of Rahm at last year’s event, but improved his total by eight shots to end on 24-under and clinch his sixth PGA Tour title. REUTERS/Henry RomeroBOGOTA, March 10 (Reuters) - Colombia's government and the left-wing ELN guerrilla group have taken the first steps toward a bilateral, temporary ceasefire, the heads of their delegations at peace talks said on Friday, as they closed their second cycle of negotiations in Mexico City. The ELN is Colombia's oldest remaining rebel group, and the talks are the cornerstone of efforts by leftist President Gustavo Petro - himself once a member of the now-demobilized M-19 insurgents - to bring "total peace" to Colombia. "We took the first steps to firm up a bilateral, national and temporary ceasefire which will create better conditions for Colombians' mobilization and participation in the peace process," said the ELN's Pablo Beltran. On New Year's Eve, Petro announced a ceasefire, but days later the ELN said it had not agreed to the measure. The ELN, founded in 1964 by radical Catholic priests, has some 2,500 combatants and is accused of financing itself through drug trafficking, illegal mining and kidnapping.

Barry Diller, chairman of IAC and Expedia, told CNBC's "Squawk Box" Monday that Twitter, which he said is a toy for Elon Musk, will "much smaller business" under its new owner. Diller said he believes Musk is "quixotic" but "very rational," and he thinks Musk will stick by the company. Diller said he thinks Musk will figure out how to improve Twitter and make it more appealing, but he's not convinced that it will become the next super-app. Twitter laid off approximately half of its employees days later. Since closing the $44 billion deal, Musk has laid out a series of ideas for a new user verification process for Twitter through its subscription service Twitter Blue.
